The Spoils of War

By FrozenButterfly

Onyx and pearl, ash and bone
I stand resolute, destitute, alone
Rubies, diamonds, bloody tears
Encircled by worries, ensnared by fears
Shining opals, waxy corpses
Strewn all about by marching forces
Topaz, freezing blue-gray lips
Amethysts, stumpy fingertips
Iron, steel, cannons and guns
Death for me and everyone

I've got a title, but I'm still pondering; maybe The Riches of War, or something else.

Thank you all for your suggestions. As you can see, it took me a while to finally come up with a title, and even I don't truly love it. Your suggestions made me really rack my brain. Again, thank you!

I think for a title something like "A Crystal March" or "March of the Gems" something along those lines would be good. I very much enjoyed this little piece though
