This Is Like

By prodigy789

like rolling thunder on the plains
these thoughts echo for miles
bound by the walls around you
searching for an answer to this puzzle game

like blistering heat in the boiling pot
this feeling melts like lava
trapped within the mantel
seeping through the cracks to come out steaming hot

like a flower in the field
this mood is simply peaceful
rooted forever in the mind
living off of a mother who provides its every meal

like a deep blue wave upon the sand
this turmoil fills my beach
only to be drawn again
back out to the sea far from my reach
