Sign of Things to Come

By WarTorn

 Bear Witness to force-fed abomination

Injected slowly, our future is being writ

Bound and gagged, liberty is drowning

Suffocating… on virtues now erased

So who’s to save us from Charybdis?

Our ship is sinking, our captain disappeared

Which direction are we traveling?

For lack of sunlight, our course is so unclear

Now sink

When resting at the bottom

Claw these nails… through mountains of past mistakes

No progress shall be envisioned

For lack of solace, our hearts crumble away

Fade
