Dec End

By Dysha

U don't see me
U do not see me

U see the perception of my projection
U see that I don't look like them
& dismiss my value

The mask I show is well perfected
1 for every show but u wudn't know bcuz u don't look closer

Being mixed of 2 races but not getting the best of both worlds
I create my own

Can u see me? Have you tried?
Because behind my eyes is a world u can't live w/o

Under my hands is a touch u haven't imagined
On my lips is a kiss that can burn u up & leave u addicted

Have u seen me? U think u have? In eyes of others, hands of younger, & lips of thinner.
But u r lying to urself, believing a knock off version is just as good.

U say u truly see me.
But u project ur own perception of who I am & what I shud b

My body is not ur canvas & my face will not reflect ur version
U will see me when u have earned the right to stand in my light.
