Ambrosia

By alesana

sweet ambrosia on my tongue
the wine of life across my lips
closing my eyes to the earth
decorated in all the shades of grey
pale skin and glazed eyes
still all dressed in white
a veil to cover all her pain
her marital bonds to Death himself
it's not what you see that you should fear
it's what this world has blinded you to
enclosed in darkness
a nightmare within a nightmare
such flawless beauty
ruined by the stains of life
I suppose I shall follow...
until I can follow no more.
