Break My Fall

By Woes of a Succubus

 Falling,

Sinking,

Into the thoughts I'm thinking,

I want to run,

I've got to hide,

Take my hand and be my guide,

Let us go where none can follow,

Into the depths of your eyes, so hollow,

But I never hit the ground,

And as I fall I hear the sound,

Of broken wings,

Of darkened things,

Of shattered glass,

Of cries en masse,

Of wind blowing,

And birds of prey crowing,

From the way things are going,

I'd say it's not over yet.

Awakening eyes slowly flutter,

Till they open...

And your soul can only shudder,

My fall broken by soft words spoken,

And strength I've longed for forever.

Take my final breath as a token,

And I will take refuge in you whenever...

Whenever I can't hold on,

Whenever my smile is gone,

Whenever the road is tough,

Whenever I've had enough,

When it's all over...

Take my hand,

 Be my guide,

Just to feel alive inside,

Thought I was thinking,

Now I am sinking,

BREAK MY FALL.
