Reality

By kenneth

As my hopes and dreams diminished
Along with the hours in the day
Soon my work will be finished
But my heart will have withered away

I cling so desperately to something
That as far as I know may never exist
Oh how my thoughts are racing
As I clench the trinket in my fist

My blood soaked hand steals
While my mouth speaks lies
A silent whisper that kills
While I watch as innocents dies

My eyes play tricks on my mind
Cause the dead stand before me
They show me what I must find
But never can it be obtained by me
