Something

I gaze up at the moon
And its beautiful glow
The end will come soon
All or nothing is all I know

I feel the cool and gentle breeze
And I begin to feel a shiver
I try to reflect on my memories
But I cant seem to remember

I still get to have my dreams
Though that’s all they will ever be
Nothing is ever what it seems
that’s what someone told me

Within my heart a burning desire
One I long to eventually achieve
As I gaze deep into the raging fire
I begin to question what I believe

And soon only ashes will remain
Into the earth everything must return
In the end you will have no pain
For something I still yearn
