Something More Than Nothing
By TakeMeAsIAm
This blank page stares back at me:
challenging me to fill it,
to
make it something more than nothing.
Slowly I write:
carefully
at first testing all of my limits.
Then faster and faster-
one
portion complete.
I'm loosing cotrol.
Then I stumble,
I fall,
I cry out...
and no one can help me.
I can't
write anymore.
It's over.
So I put down my pen and say goodbye.
Kinda like my life:
I was in control but I fell.
I was going
to become something more than nothing,
but I didn't make it.
I
slipped.
So they crumpled up my unfinished page
and threw me
away.

life is like a poem.... hehe, a narrative, as Paul Ricoeur would have us believe... as we spin our tales we can only hope to not fall prey to our own linguistic devices.... and perhaps.... our audience, as in this case.... maybe..... love the analogy, hope you keep your pages to yourself ;) haha, and .... thanks for sharing.
