Recalcitrant

By Virgils Vigil

By senior year I couldn't be stopped
I'd strut out the front door like
If they put a brick wall in my path,
I'd phase right through it
'Cause I'm smooth like fluid
Melted the rubble into mud
and I laughed as I threw it
Right into their faces
As I covered all my bases
Taking last through first places
Ignoring all phrases
Taking the charge
Leading them on
Built like a barge
and I'll sail 'till I'm gone

By the time it was my time, I couldn't be stopped
Bombard or barrage me, I couldn't be dropped
