To Ecxept

By pureevil8

Come take a journey with me,

Venture so far beyond all you know,

Blindly and faithfully follow me,

Deep into a world where I have become god.

I hear some torturous laughter rising,

Filling my head with great despair,

And luring me ever closer to death,

Though death seems to be my comfort.

To sleep,

To dream,

To enter into an ever consuming embodiment of self,

So easily perceived

Yet impossibly achieved.

Rage against rage within my mind,

A hopeless consort of endless fears,

To be a part of humanity,

To be once again mortal,

Could it ever be possible?

Perhaps I am meant to suffer,

Forever engulfed within an endless dream,

A nightmare that I must live forever,

Though it seems I'm at home here,

So I'll just learn contention,

And become one with myself.
