Wisdom

The happiness and satisfaction I receive,

Is sometimes accompanied with regret,

And I wish my destiny could change

Because it is that destiny I follow,

That sometimes brings my heart pain.

I know that my purpose in life is true,

And my destiny can't be changed,

As much as I wish it sometimes,

To do so would put my soul in a cage.

I realize now a harsh reality,

Wisdom can sometimes be a curse,

Because if I didn't know all that I do,

I could so easily be blind to fate,

And keep the soul I feel is as mine,

But that is impossibility to me,

No matter how badly I want it,

For even though leaving brings me sadness,

I know to stay would destroy us both.
