Flashbacks

By PhantomPhoenix

Dreams smother me,
the nightmares made from lost memory
a faded photograph stares at me, a girl with empty eyes
broken from the torture of secrets and lies
denial written on her mothers face
never finding a any comfortable space
the memories freeze her mind
trigger, relapse, time starts to rewind- she's left behind
an ice statue for all to see
no longer herself, an empty shadow of the bleeding memory.
