Offering

By blackmoonraven

i kneel  before you, Mother,
jasmine blossoms bury my knees,
pleading that my soul might find temporary comfort
in your divinity,
i am lost tonight,
not a daughter of Eve,
not a child of the Divine,
in my fear, i ask that you come to me in dark dreams,
and quiet this tired soul,
Enfold me with midnight black raven wings
let their blue opalescence  rein peace
body prostrate to you, Mother,
sinking deep into the velvet dirt
into  the sacred calm of night,
the life that flows through me,
an offering,
sanguine and voluntary,
lift me from this scattered existence,
just for one lucid perfect moment
to be whole in your arms
