Sanity in violence unfullfilled

By Till Madness Comes I Preach

Sanity balances precariously upon the edge of a blade
as memories flash rapidly and logic slowly fades
replaced easily by instinct primal and welcome
heart beating in time with fists crashing down
every blow thrown a release of pain long held
every drop of blood equal to every tear felled

Sanity fails me and I reach for my blade
as memories stop upon her face intent so clear
instincts she kept in check back and long missed
the beating heart rages still though long broken
vengence a damning release but one long needed
no tears for you, but blood will flow plenty

I seek my vengence everyday though I know I shall never take it,
She taught me better, made me more and though you stole her
I still cannot come to forsake her memory so
You breath because of her,
you live because she lived
and though you took her
She will live as I live
Thank your fates boy
That I am not the animal I once was
