The Harrowing Rhythm part I: In Confusion and Madness

By The Silent Pendulum

Nothing to fear dear
I've had my fun
Now that I've done what's needed here
I shall sit on the clouds with the edges of silver
And take down the signs of inclement weather

Run when you're tired
Walk in the line
Talking to no one
You're never on time

Say that you're sorry friend
You'll feel all right
Do anything
Say what you will
Up to the end

And frankly my dear, I can't give a damn
It's not that I don't
You wouldn't understand

For this is the sound of the bells in my earĀ
Forever and always
Just call, I'll be there
In the dusty clothes with holes
Fixed whole again

So the secrets one does never speak
Grow weary in the smoke
Yet the whispers of giants tell only of truth
Hid high in the mountains
And low in the canyons

That the Rhythm exists and somewhere in the sands
Troubled by nothing and calmed by the noise
The old Man Without, he endlessly stands.
