Singular

By The Silent Pendulum

What I am I am for me
Never will I be a shade of grey
I am told I must be a soldier in this continuous loop
I ask why we cannot march without support

I wish to be out of this boundary line
So I'll make you smile at my final test
For I am to be what you want of me
I shall break the chains of Singularity

The millions hours I put to the uselessness of the world
Come back to us in plentiful eons of high regard
The cycle is forgiving but a selfish whore
A true breed of its own accord

We have won a few days rest for now
Let us all jump for glory
No, they say, we cannot celebrate nor congratulate
We remain like all the rest

But when I close both eyes
I become what's inside:
A part apart from this identical world
