Autumn Begins

By DoomKitty

Riding in on the cold North wind

     Autumn Begins

Leaves rattle, shake loose from dark limbs

     Autumn Begins

Orange moon rises, as if lit from within

     Autumn Begins

Scent of bonfires, frosty breath on pumpkin skin

     Autumn Begins

Summer's scorching grip on the earth fades, ends

     Autumn Begins

As the darkness descends

     Autumn Begins
