Waiting

By DoomKitty

I stand here alone, and I'm waiting

Like a child for a birthday, I'm waiting

I look to you, and I'm waiting

Waiting to live

Waiting to die

Waiting.

Waiting

For the phone to ring

Waiting

For a letter

a word.

My starving heart is waiting

For you to throw

One

tiny

Morsel

my way.

What are you waiting for?
