Haunted

By DoomKitty

All of my life, I have

seen you

heard you

felt you

even smelled you

but I know so little about you.

You're the whisper in the corner of my room

When everyone else is asleep.

You're the blackness floating above me,

While I stand damp and afraid.

You're the man on the stairs that becomes

The man that wasn't there.

I have heard that places aren't haunted.

Only people.

You continue to prove that.

Even tonight.

Thank you for the welcome. Pulling into my driveway tonight to the porch light shutting off on my empty house got me...inspired.
