Down the rabbit hole

By beautifullybroken

I’m chasing the rabbit down the hole. I’m spinning, spinning and land on the ground. My world is upside down. “Alice! Alice!” They call. I say “I am not Alice!” They say “yes you are!” I say “But, how can I be Alice if you don’t even know who I am?”
Spinning, spinning, I’m upside down. They pretend like they know me but they really don’t.
Pretend to care but if they did then they wouldn’t try to control me. Wouldn’t tell me who to be, who to love, what to do. Please just let me be I say. They never listen.
I’m spinning, spinning, my world is upside down. Sometimes I really like it like this I have to admit.
How can I be Alice when you don’t even know me at all.
