Dark Sea

By Snowborn426

In a time before the dawn
There came a dream
Of which I was ever lost at sea
The captian of my own demise
Alone, I sail into night

Drifting among the waves
With no sense of time
A lighthouse on the horizon
A new born rhyme
Midnight winds now tell the tale
A lonely man, a prayer as a sail

I sleep not to dream
I've dreamt of tomorrow
The waves come for me
Comfort me

Mermaids now sing
Beneath the clear
I pray these waves
Keep me near

I sleep not to dream
I've dreamt of tomorrow
The waves come for me
Comfort me
In my ecstasy
I give myself to the sea
The waves come for me
Comfort me

In sleep
I return to the sea, the deep
For only in these dreams
This dark sea screams
Come back to me..
