i've been here before
through the darkness,
sometimes through that faint light.
it offered a calmness, almost
like being submerged underwater.
and once the currents washed
me off to shore.
maybe to make me see clearly
what a deep mess i was in.
and it was such a lovely mess...
so i had to come back.
