Diamonds, Pearls, and Gold

By Inzlo

You are the treasure this pirate is after
I'll kill me a king and swing from the rafters.
Now the waves of the ocean are all colored with blood
and my enemies faces now lie dead in the mud.
as soon as I set me boots upon land, I'll
search through the cities and dig in the sand.
Your beauty is like fire, it burns through my soul
your image sustained me when death called me roll.

Your eyes are the diamonds I stole from the queen
your smile the pearls i killed for in greed
your body is the gold that ill keep for myself,
with you as my treasure I need nothing else

I could sail me own ship in all the rum that I've drunk
but no matter how much twas of you i still thunk
there is death all around me it smells in the air
but your grace keeps me going, your love is so rare
with my cutlass in hand, it shows me the way
I swear on my life I'll see you again.
