Let's run away tonight.

By heathenpoetry

Let's run away tonight,
To the place we whisper of,
As we lie amongst the silence,
 After another day has gone,

The only things that we will hear,
Is one and others hopeful dreams, [Till' you fall into me and sleep]
And nothing more is said at all

And as I guard you in my arms,
I lie awake; lost deep in wonder,
I fondle lightly with your hair
I have your love, I have it all.
And I could swear I heard a star fall,
In our place so far agaze,
Our place of love blinded displays-
-Where we forget about it all.

It's late enough -
- the worlds asleep,
Quick take my hand, let's get away,
It won't take long to find our world;
(This perfect place our minds have drawn,)
Let us take off into the night,
And let us run the speed of love,
And if we try our very best
We will arrive before the dawn.
