We can lay under the willows

By heathenpoetry

Will you meet with me today?
By our stream deep in the meadows?
We can lay under the willows,
talking softly of our dreams.

And as the lazy branches sway-
-smiling hushed while we repose,
we can drift out of this world,
where nothing is quite as it seems.

In time we'll slowly fade away-
-into a silent breeze that blows,
lets fly so far beyond this life?
Into an unknown land supreme;

A land of skies blue and serene;
Of dusty clouds and vibrant ferns;
A hazy tranquil land of dreams;
A land from which we won't return.
