Too Late To Yell

By locoreality

The shadows of a forgotten dream lives on the edge of time
Slipping into a world of darkness as it penetrates my mind
Knocking on the door of reality, knowing it will open at any given time
Trapping me within its grip as the sunny day turns to rain
Striking me with natures lightning bolt as it pin points my brain
It travels throughout my body, tearing at my insides from head to toe, making its U-turn over and over again, it has no other place to go
The pain i feel can't be real, my body won't die but my mind has lost its will
A lightening bolt of reality hit me, it had meant to kill
My body is wet but it's not from sweat
For some reason I am soaking wet
As I wipe my face, hoping its from the rain
Not knowing this will be one more strike to the brain
As I look around, not hearing a sound
Next thing I saw, my heart starts to pound
My skin starts to melt, dripping straight to the ground
My head starts to spin, something grabs my hand
It starts pulling me down
I tried to stop it but it wouldn't quit, as IĀ fell deeper and deeper into the bottomless pit
Voices scream from every side, bodies laying every where
Every color, shape, and size
They have no skin, no heart, no eyes
As the fire burns from every side
From the top to the bottom, fire was every where
I couldn't believe my eyes
There was no where to run, no where to hide
The pain was to much as I started to yell
Little did I know, I just passed through the gates of hell
