Ano’m(i)e

By demonofthefall

Black bile bleeding through eyes made of candy glass,

Hands at the side, not afraid, but altruistic,

While getting, unable to give.

Too much, for too little, blood pumping brittle.

Gloom filled the room,

The minute you walked in,

Hard to see when your

Too sunny for this moon.

I tried, and failed to get back on the horse,

The train left before I had a chance.

Ill care once I have found my own place,

Ill care once the eyes can see more.

Its hard to see in the night,

Its easier in the day,

But please don’t shine too bright,

Ill always be blinded by you that way.

Author's Note:

This piece is about wanting to show somone that you care for them and desperately wanting to love them, but not caring enough about yourself to do anything. It really stems from the old saying how can you expect respect, when you dont respect yourself.
