FLY IN A WEB- A POEM ABOUT ADDICTION

By loveloes

As I dance with the Devil
I start to notice…
The girl’s innocence
Starts to fade…..

Her halo’s now broken,
She chose to play the games they play…
Wishing she could go back to that day
& erase all the pain.

One after another, she hears the demons
Start to rise, they whisper only lies as she puts on her
Disguise, and starts down the long, lonely road to her demise.

Like a Fly In A Web, she already feels dead,
Waiting anxiously for Him to collect his dues…

Looking through her past in shame, she starts
To melt, If only she had the option to re-choose.
She crumbles inside right before his eyes,
If only she had known she would lose…
