Step Inside

By JingaBelle

My pen dances across the page
As I try to paint you a picture
Every word imbued with
connotation, reference, archetype
evoking my emotion into the space
the chasm between us
this window into my life and mind
shading the work bringing it to life
Sometimes its the poison I pull from me
letting it spill onto the page
sometimes it's a small bit of beauty
the refuge I find living in a world like this
sometimes it's just a feeling
i've never really explored
or the brief glimpse of ecstacy i might be granted
it all gets swirled together
molded, painted, created
into something my soul can identify with
laid out, framed up, displayed
for all the world to see
like it, love it, leave it alone
it is me
It's all hanging in my gallery
If you care to step inside...
