after all

can a poor black boy

"love thy neighbor"
yet there is so much
hate here

childeren crying
in dispair
alone and neglected
young wemen
too afraid to sleep
knowing that
evil lurkes
behined closed doors
beaten everyday
by the people
who aer suppose
to protect them
malested by family

here childeren are
taken from
their homes
raped
murdered

how can it be
that ther is
so much
suffreing here in
THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY?

families torn apart
by the violence
of others

young soldiers
going off to
a war
that should have
ended years ago
never to be seen again

neighbors
killing
neighbors

gang wars
in our streets

noone is safe here

its always
the quite ones
that are the most
disturbed
the nice ones
that everyone loves
turn out to be
rapeist
murderers

there is so much
pain here

everyone has skeletons
in their closets

the government
has the most
skeletones

whatever happened to
FREEDOME OF EXPRESSION?
schools cutting
art
music

how are we to
teach our childeren
to express themselves
if it is no longer
being taught

how are we
ever to survive here
when this nation
is so
disterbed?
