delierious contentment

By WhoIAM

nothing is stable.
existing is like making ones way across the rivers
we commute over everyday without a thought

but none of us have a multi-million dollar suspension bridge
or our own private subterranean tunnel

we are all suckers
plodding along in row boats
with home made oars

and when we are going good
holding strong in the currents
we do not even realise
that we are doing it right.

and even if you notice all is well
you hardly have time
and better think fast to
take it in
and live it

next thing you know you are fighting vicious waves
waves with names
spraying mist across your sturdy craft
its bow appearing
and disappearing
in the currents
the surf

i love this vicious cycle.
this cycle is the way life is and
furthermore
should be.

its what makes one think,
resting our oars
in the choppy waters,
and look up into the sky
even if it is for just a moment
to recognize that
the stars are in the same boat
our planet is in a similar boat

and all we can truly do is float on
and row harder
or get taken
downstream.

I can't believe people haven't praised this piece with a ton of comments. This is amazing. I love metaphoric writes pertaining, to the ups and downs life throws at each and everyone of us. -Bravo-
