[a lesson in jealousy] a fracture in gods work

By redtearswhitesnow

i cant get my head around it [you]
the halo that asphyxiates my pelvic bone
mourning the twisted rib [in me]
[in you]

my lungs gave up on me
[the moment]
that i needed them the most

i place the stars [one by one]
in the back of your throat
[in an attempt] to
mock the naked midnight sky

i cant get my head around it [you]
i feel slightly less narcissistic
[this time]
as i hand myself over to you
[in a moment]

when the stars [failed to understand]
and the naked midnight sky
[simply settled]

for

[you]
