.The mess I wear with pride.

By TheDismantled

You were the devil that night.
standing there,
engulfed in flame and shadow,
at the edge of a burning light.

The candle flickered and lingered for a moment,
on the curves of your shoulders,
begging for the warmth of my grip and kiss,
and the feel of my breathe on your neck.

The embers of fire tapered and diminished,
as our moment stretched,
til gravity broke and time faded.

Without effort, or intent,
we drifted trough til eternity's end.
My gaze never faltered,
nor eyes failed.

focused hell bent, on you,
my devil.
My mess, my pride, my annoyance.
Mine.
as long as you never wake.
