a funeral

By gloominous

Draining life from him
blood wetting his feet
cold chills
rage through his veins
making him feel insane.

all his warmth is gone
only blackness remains.
rotting flesh fills his mouth
sour smells he cannot taste
muscles release from bone
now his face is gone.

dismembering his body
tearing flesh with jagged finger tips
tears in her mind
shocking her soul
infinite sadness surrounds
the end of today.

his skin is so cold
with his plastic touch
tears fall from her lips
clutching her fists
hidden on his face
her last kiss.

reaching down
thier last embrace
inside her mind
plaster paintings, nightmare songs
dwelling down, pushed aside
nothingness in disguise.

sorrow now, nothing to fill
crystalized motion, deathly still
she lays in long green grass
the only touch she can mask

shallow dreams, she misses him
killing pain, steel within
drowning sand, sacred heart
lips trembling, never apart.

nicely, but unfortunately sad capture of the essence. a true feeling of "forever" or should i say "never again"...terrible loss. but, we all most go through it
