Here Now We Wave Goodbye

By tdiggster

Cobweb dancers, dying on a vine, Carries past me
and on into the evening where history breathes
into the mantle and bides it’s time,as if this moved
you and summons soft cries from the fire beneath us.
Were you there when the city
left the streets in careless abandon?
A house divides, fallen sister, father mercy.
No sun entreats the shade.
“I’ll follow you until you break,” she said
“Just follow me” he said.
I found an old sweet home upon a hill for the journey.
I found a century in the eyes around me turning in my head.
Lets lay a spleen black road in the moonlight
for the angels bed,
it’s too strange a notion for the empty dead.
Little in our lives, little all our lives.
Come to greet fantasy, left to cheap surprise.
We’ve come to the top of our nature, just
to wave goodbye to our hatred,
and now we wave Good-Bye.
She woke to a dream she left,
It seemed a thousand powerless hours ago.
It seems she dreamt a sound not far away,
Stranger is she to its simple sway.
Like a phone call shattering the earth,
And there she fell to the earth, Won’t you play?
All the boys singing summers’ to her eyes
and now she’s got me in her song
-just sprung to mind, come to life,
Is there a reason to retire?
Morning rises all around me, she’s a dream behind.
Roll over and over into the fire.
All the boys taking summers’ from her eyes,
And now shes got me in the sun.
Here Now We Wave Good-Bye
