FRUIT AND FLOWERS

By lajeeves

Straight and sober contemplations
with comic strip conversations.
Every other need and want,
they’ll all try but most still don’t.
Yet here I sit in candy land,
fruit and flowers on a stand
Subtle sounds from rubber bands,
destruction lies in well laid plans.
Can’t you all just understand,
all of this is out of hand?
Short hand long hand leave me be,
Turning burning constantly.
Never will they here your plea,
fruit and flowers in a tree.
Pea soup green and cream of white,
pupils flicker brilliant light.
I wish sleep came this well at night,
fruit and flowers in my sight.
