Come What May

By Petra Creffield

(image by Arron Mitchell) Come What May When I am alone, When all else is gone It is you I want The only one Wish your head would appear in the door Wearing a greeting and a kiss on your lips As so many times before Take me in your arms Tell me you do love me That you are here to stay Come what may That everything is going to be ok Those words you never say The ones for which I pray That just never, ever come And never will.
