Spool this crooked wool around my swollen ankles
Twist and turn it until I can no longer walk

Watch in slow motion as I fall to the ground.

The engraving of footsteps etched into my skin

Lines of slowly seeping paint.

Tap my eyelids awake,

Stare with drunken intent and kiss your severed hands away.

I will eat your shaken nails

Sniff clean the years of shattered interludes,

I will caress each year that has unarmed you

And beg to be alive in your play.

I will slide across the tanned belly of time

Wear a crown and be queen to the broken people,

I will twist their mangled strings

Blow apart the dampened waters…..

What more could you possibly want?

You creep into my mind

You steal moments that are not available to you,

You tiptoe with incest,

With archangel need.

I’m not for sale;

I’m not to buy and distort as you wish

Not a whore to pay

Not a toy to play.

Back away and tread sorry you pig

Retreat retreat……………….
