A lone tear in my eye
As I ask myself why
I wonder if I will die
As blood falls from the sky

Something sacred deep within
Something that I can trust in
As I watch the manifestation of my sin
And I watch the beginning of the end begin

I look off to the distance so very far
As I gaze upon a falling star
I know that monsters is all we are
On your heart ill leave a scar

Like a beast I hunt in the night
I still long for my dreams wrong or right
In my reflection I see a horrid sight
A demon that smiles with delight

Steal away my hopes and dreams
Tell me that nothing is as it seems
But still within I hear the screams
Oh how I long for my lost dreams

I will pay any toll
Take from me my self control
You can take away my very soul
And make my heart as black as coal

Tears fall from my eyes
As a part of me within dies
I run after the haunting cries
While blood falls from the skies

Something sacred I once held inside
Something within I once could confide
I watched as it withered and died
While the beast laughed I cried

It seems that soon I will be dead
It doesn’t matter how much blood I bled
I think back and I question the life I led
But I still know my heart is red

As I look back on all of this
Soon to meet deaths cold kiss
I realize what it is I miss
While I fall into the abyss
