Purgatory

One way or the other
Held back by your limbo
I don't know what to do
I have nowhere to go

How manic I am today
Not knowing your story
And when the energy crashes
I will sleep in my purgatory

A failing nightmare for me
Having no retreat
Your face haunts me
Everything else is obsolete

It's all coming back
This is too fucking scary
You should kill me now
I'm writing my obituary

How quick you are to judge
Taking both of us for granted
I'll lie here and wait
Look at me - stranded

I've been left alone again
Staring through my hell
Black and white no more
Everything here is pastel

Unending control you have
You know it's yours for the taking
Destroy the one you love
I was obviously mistaken

Why can't I wake up
Come out of these nightmares
I'm tearing my eyes out
Trying to stop the tears

Tell me there's nothing

I hear nothing but hope
I speak your name
And look backwards through the scope

I look at you and die
This is my story
Let me finally pass
To the end of my purgatory
