We need a moral booster 'round here, it is time to show some DP pride! All the banning and bantering going on lately has really giving MOST people a shitty attitude, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I for one like/liked this place because it is some what of a safe haven and seclusion from the negativity that we wake up and face everyday. A place to say what you think without being ridiculed or judged, and people who support your ideas whether they are bad or good (double entendre there). So, with that being said, let's have some fun!


THE CONTEST:

Write something positive and/or humorous.


Entries will be judged on:


-creativity/original thought.

-Flow/musicality

-Imagery

-works with wit will be favored. IE: happy with a dark twist.


And MUST meet the following criteria:

-Must be a "Haiku" or "Tanka"

-Must be "positive" and "humorous"

-must not rhyme




THOUGH, THESE ARE MERELY GUIDELINES. The winning WILL be 3 lines or 5 lines, AND/BUT does NOT have to follow the 5,7,5 or 5,7,5,7,7 syllabus, as which are customary with haiku's or tanka's. Search the web if you unsure of the structure(s).



One last thing, please do not feel restricted to any particular line length. I don't believe poetry should be restricted such,though guidelines can be a very useful tool that should be take advantage of. However for the sake of this contest, the number of lines stated above must be met to win the prize.
