For our latest contest we would like to take a page out of the poetry class' arsenal of assignments and ask you to
take a famous poem of your choosing then rewrite it in the same meter, structure, form, etc...

Only the new subject or main themes/imagery of the poem should fall into one of the three general themes of our cabal.

Darkness (The absence of color or light)

Heathenism or Paganism (Religious/spiritual ideas or practices that are not Christian, Muslim or Islam)

Debauchery (Topics of pleasure directly related to our bodies or minds, drugs, sex, rock and roll...etc...)


Take your time to find enough inspiration in your chosen works to do it justice with your paeans (works of praise/tribute).

Please clearly state the title of the original poem you are using as your framework in the body of your work somewhere, beginning or end.
