DarkPoet's Home a Bloodbath

If you happened to be driving by and noticed DarkPoet hauling blood soaked bedding out to the trash yesterday, here's an explanation.

Sent DPmails Compromise Reached

We've re-enabled the view sent mail feature for your mailboxes, and added a one-shot no-warning delete all sent mail link on the right sidebar for those who want to flush out their sent mail list. This should keep most people happy until our new software can be wrapped up.

Hideously Done

Some awful stuff has erupted like a volcano of vomit in the rocket launch-esque Un-Contest which we just did hold to make the worst poem since twenty drunken skunk monkeys fell off their perch and painted on the pond.

Echoes of Orpheus hath tak'ed the prize looting it with bandit-like optimism in the '&#'.ord('&').';'quot;poem'&#'.ord('&').';'quot; "Penguin Feathers" and we're sure happier than a pig in a pen to reward such an effort. New contest will be on the way once we hatch an idea from our poultry sated hearts.

DP Software Development

After much talking and not so much doing for a few years, we're finally well into the build phase of a new DarkPoetry incarnation. Traditionally we have redone the site every 3 years or so, though this current site has held up pretty well for a little longer than that. Maybe the next one will keep us for longer. In any case, what this means to you is that you should make suggestions at will about what you'd like to see on the new DP. I will post more detailed information once the core system is stable in a month or so.

Oaic Reversal

A few brave souls stepped up to the challenge of the Sonnet Italiano, but only "The Canvas, and the Artist" walked away from the shootout.

We're doing a reverse contest this month. You should vote for the worst poem you find in the list, and they'll win it.
