  • "Just read this again and it reminded me of something my grandma used to say, "the path to hell is paved with good intentions" - XXOO"

  • "You are so talented with storytelling, thoughtfully adding little bits to be savored with each read. My only moral intrusion would be Judgment...lol. One man's evil might be another's Justice. A very enjoyable read, again, thank you for the thoughtfulness and thoroughness you put into all your writing, it makes a big difference - XXOO"

  • "You've summed up our age rather honestly and thoroughly, its bleak as hell. Is there no hope for humanity in this technological age? Love the beat style as always - XXOO"

  • "Questioning may lead to answers, on an individual level...maybe. If our existence was meant to be understood, I believe we'd have figured it out by now. Part of the human condition seems to seek and never definitively find. Science is interesting, but it is also a never-ending pursuit. We don't really want all the answers, otherwise life would cease as we know it, and that's not really what we want. Finding what is really desired from this human existence may be the key to individual happiness, or at least the satisfaction of enough knowledge to let go and just enjoy the ride. I enjoyed this read as I relate and have many of the same thoughts. Thanks for the reflection - XXOO"

  • "The large spaces may actually add to the piece to accentuate the long spaces during a long relationship which aren't always exciting. Lusting after your life partner is way more satisfying than lusting after phantoms. Beautiful as always - XXOO"

  • "A wonderful collection, my favorites were the RAIN haikus. I had to come back a couple times to read them all, I hate rushing through work, I'm glad I did. Thanks for sharing, much enjoy the way you communicate your art - XXOO"

  • "just gonna say, the second to last stanza hit really hard, I love so many trees in my hometown, we don't have the same kind of trees up here in the big city. Thank you for this piece, a great gift - XXOO"

  • "I think the name is perfect. We have the collective ability to not only repair, but make it even more beautiful than the original. I couldn't tell there was anything missing, your work is original and raw and always a pleasure to read. This was inspirational - XXOO"

  • "There is a beautiful poetic truth to even the science and math in relation to the fact that it only comes about when the ego/mind needs rationality and comfort... Love your poetic verses and stimulating thoughts - XXOO"

  • "CONGRATS on POD!! I can't believe I missed this when you posted it. I think the 4th stanza blew my mind, made my whole body hot inside n out. As far as punctuation - hello!!! this is poetry - XXOO"

  • "We all have access to the 'pool of knowledge' and together we create the 'rules' we come to understand and live by. That's why propaganda is so vilely important. I love this one, "And deny the Jack's out" - XXOO"

  • "The first 2 lines seem like clever musings, but in reality say so much about how we all have our own perceptions. Then you follow it with thoughtful personal insight. I had a friend that tried to save a bug from drowning in a puddle one night on her way to school, when she bent down to lift it out one of her school books fell from her arms smashing it. She cried while I tried to reassure her that we all have our fates, maybe this insects life was ended to teach her something about herself. We are all connected to and through all the creatures we see and don't see. Your turtle makes me wonder how many I've killed when not paying attention - XXOO"

  • "I love the reference to Maya Angelou's 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings', was very fitting. I love reading your short stories, you always add so much meaning without being overly dramatic. Subtlety is much more entertaining for people like me - XXOO"

  • "Like the creative format, fun to read, but then you always are. I always thought it was a silly idea that there were supreme beings in the sky controlling or playing with us like dolls. I figured it was man's excuse for not wanting to be responsible for their/our actions - XXOO"

  • "There is a stark difference between patriots in America today. Those that rile against the government but are constantly supporting the wars unjustly started by that government - they do understand that the military is a branch of government. They don't want to pay taxes, but are ok with spending billions every month through the government to fund these wars. And they wave their flags the highest and scream the loudest and have no idea what the wars are really all about. Damn, sorry for ranting in a comment, good piece, it obviously invoked some thoughts for me ;) - XXOO"

  • "Reminds me of the difference between giving a man a fish when he's hungry or teaching him how to fish so he need not ever go hungry. A moments luminosity in the fire or creating something that has the ability to illuminate eternally... Well done Shawn, I've missed reading you and I think this piece is quite finished. Doesn't need to be long to invoke thought or convey ideas ;) - XXOO"
