  • "And she dropped some pretty heavy riddles. Phrases like. "I knew you would survive but your brother wouldn't be able to." she said it twice with no context and always left me speechless. It never fit where I would have placed it once she added my brother 7 years younger. or once, a homeless teen I was walking down the street and they pulled over and she walked up to me and said always respect women. and then she walked back to the car and they drove off. I'm standing there speechless. riddles she couldn't answer later in life as she would hide behind made up stories she needed to believe and she was so thin I could see her getting thinner as she gave what she had left to that same brother who inst making it."

  • "I t dawns on me after My mothers passing and this past mothers day dealing with also my Grandmother passing just a few months later as I found out. This poem is about my Mother. I never really knew who it was about and I just kept seeing her collapse and the shock of long hair from collision. I have spent the last year doing what most cant do and its going down the rabbit hole of ones self, the only way to get free to who you are. I hope to write something better for her when I am done.- silver"

  • "Thanks, i actually did not realize I republished this as I wrote it in 2003 or so and posted it here. I was on thinking it is time to write again and saw one of my last was no longer visible. I used to outgrow my poems as I got older but this one still gets me."
