  • "Thanks so much Drea. I think (belatedly) Orwell's animal slogan was actually "Two legs bad...". Nevertheless, Cain was marked for killing Abel ("Genesis", Chapter 4) so that none would slay him as he wandered east of Eden; where he took a wife and built a city (where did these people come from?). What if we are all descended from Cain, the first murderer, and not so much Abel and later Seth’s lineage (Adam’s third son)? By the way, our Homo erectus DNA is very similar to chimpanzees, and includes Homo neanderthalensis elements as well. Were we arboreal in The Garden I wonder?? So many questions - cheers! - Dan"

  • "My many thanks friends A., Sol, CC ,KB, Drea, JS, and MV. Trying to get some work done around the house, and feeling like I've lost my biggest fan. Hospice care is just a nice way to watch a loved one die of thirst in three days (no drinking water allowed). I'll return eventually to my poetry. Cheers! - Dan"

  • "Adam - been busy learning this poetry thingy. The fishing is lousy and golfing even worse. Hoping you had a festive Halloween! River Lily - every once in a while I'll use a sonnet to break the monotony of writer's block; works for me, thanks and call me a softie! NS - that closing is always an opportunity to grab the reader's attention, and this was no exception, thanks! Welcome again to DP!"
