  • "A recollection or just a dream; both can bring tears of sweet joy, or the sorrow of loss. You have done a wonderful balancing act here my friend DD; much as we do in our daily lives each day - Cheers! - Dan"

  • "Returned for another bite of this apple, and a reminder of what we do and why: there are those that fight, those that assist, and the rest are victims. Cheers DD! - Dan"

  • "A stark personification of what we are left with for company, when our mind runs wild and plunges into the deepest pits of an isolated misery that kills by degrees. Cheers DD and write it out my friend - Dan "

  • "Sadly seductive in a sense of loss that lingers DD. Gotta be a two-way street I'm guessing; but then too that's only an aspirin for some temporary relief. Cheers! - Dan"

  • "It seems that someone is putting a finger on the balance scales perhaps. But the true cost of the balancing act is a burden that increases with time. Just a matter of convenience perhaps; I was there once too. Really enjoyed how you skillfully merged desire with the physical in some unique metaphorical musings. Cheers DD! - Dan"

  • "Shades of the battered child syndrome, self-blame, self-doubt, and acceptance to settle for the status quo perhaps, rather than rejoining the hunt for a new and improved replacement; mixed with "the grass is always greener" mentality maybe. Being comfortable with the devil you know, can lead to immobility. The endless dilemma in our quest for a mate. They say good sex ix 70% of a good marriage, but 100% of a bad one. Cheers DD - Dan"

  • "Many truths in a salad bowl of contextual originality DD. I really enjoyed reading something that never stumbled along on its way to elucidation; from the dark and dreary corners of chaos and confusion. Cheers! - Dan "

  • "Almost seemed like an elegy from the grave DD. You did well to capture something innate to almost all of we - the lucky ones. Cheers lady! - Dan"

  • "Memories leaving the reader to wonder if real or imagined. We all have them and miss them almost always at some point. Cheers DD! (I worked night for years) - Dan"

  • "A gem of many facets and another talented composition DD. The surprise ending was totally unexpected, and therefore all the more impactful. Things have changed a lot; at least on the outside. Cheers! - Dan"

  • "Excellent advice DD. Reminds me a bit of a book I'm reading from the 30's by Koestler, concerning the Stalinist counter-revolution. It's about staying true to principles and killing to protect them, even when wrong or monstrous. No higher authority or big picture mentalities are tolerated; only the original, foundational one espoused, but I digress as is my wont. Cheers! - Dan"
