  • "I recall a universal warning from my childhood, something along the lines of never marrying a poet, a painter, or a musician - I wonder why that was? People equating creativity perhaps with starving artists, leaving us to graze with the rest of the lowing cattle in anonymity. This was a striking piece that called to mind some of that memory, cheers Ruby (and we all thankyou for the tribute)."

  • "Too real and it sounds like the EMTs were terrified too! Macabre and menacing and I think some people might be cured after reading this personal travelogue. Seems like it always makes a mess, somehow - and the next day after the stomach pumping, is Hell on earth too. Riveting Ruby, cheers!"

  • "People get older and bruised by life, buried underneath responsibilities, and nothing stays the same for very long. May you recapture those good times again, if only for a moment or two, cheers! This piece was dripping with melancholia, well done."

  • "It is said that dance is man's physical expression of thanks, through the glorification in his own wonderful body and spirit, personified in movement. Our memories are our own to cherish, and the sharing en masse seems to be some kind of a new age phenomenon perhaps. Courtesy of reality TV perhaps. Well done Ruby, as always, thanks."

  • "Seen my sister and daughter do much as you describe and sometimes it works out. This was a very lonely and forlorn piece, hoping you feel better soon, and brighter days are just around the corner. All part of growing and learning as you know, cheers."

  • "Sounds like you are rationalizing and settling for second best perhaps? This was so well written and much enjoyed the simile with the sun, thanks."

  • "So even an enraptured lover could not sway you from your predestiny perhaps? This was a gloomy ending to an initially hopeful and serene work, much enjoyed and don't be so glum chum!"

  • "30 hours would constitute sleep deprivation, but sometimes when the words are coming in an liquid progression of exact intent, it's hard to stop. Hope she isn't too far gone and that sleep refreshes, thanks. "
