"This is definitely one of your more raw and vulnerable pieces. I know you explained in the Author's Note about when you wrote this but the line, "Deceiving those we do not know, to treat as if our brothers" makes me think of someone who is in the military, far away from home. A soldier reminiscing about easier times and having to hide how he truly feels inside around strangers who are in the same position as him. Beautiful. - 10"
